Over the years we’ve shared some amazing times. We’ve made art together and have used it to express ourselves in a mission to make the world a better place.
For the past decade I’ve dedicated myself to being an activist, an artist and a parent, supported and encouraged by my family. Clearly my contributions have been valuable, but as I find myself at this juncture with my life changing suddenly and drastically, I don’t have much of a “resume”.
I’m preparing to use the skills I’ve developed over the years in this community to develop a beautiful career in art. I want to lead workshops, do artist-in-residencies and collaborate in meaningful creative projects all over the world. I’m already preparing to participate in the “Welcome Wall” being constructed on the Tex-Mex border by pop artist Ron English. And I’ll be telling my story along the way!
I’ve been working on my web presence, creating a portfolio and resume. I’ll be launching a blog, as well as a site for buying prints of my art, and sharing the inspiration that fuels me.
I’ve been thinking back over the years and listing the projects…. but there are so so so many of them! I could use your help.
Please- I would be so grateful if you would contact me with a list of your memories of our art and activism collaborations. I would love to hear your memories of working with me.
I know that there’s something about me that attracts people to me and makes them want to join in the fun. I learned that from this community. And the quality of the work we’ve produced together is very high.
It would help me tremendously to be able to quote you when I apply for positions. If you feel it, I would be so deeply grateful if you could add a few sentences about my strengths and gifts- the qualities that made me a successful organizer, nurturing our community spirit with collective art experiences.
