Our military adventures, assassinations and drone bombings have made the region More unstable and fomented anti-American sentiment to such an extent that the most extreme expression of it is now flourishing.
The US funded, armed and trained the mujahideen group the CIA named ‘al Qaeda’ in the 1980s, (that turned out great) and the US has recently done the same with ISIS.
Arming the enemies of our enemies hasn’t made the U.S. more friends;
it has made the U.S. more enemies.
