This print originally came out of a series of recurrent dreams of floodings I’ve been having since I was a kid. Having been born and raised in a town on the coast, hurricanes and tsunamis were always part of the fears and the reality of the town’s population. Now with Climate Change and the imminent rising sea levels these images are slowly becoming a reality.
The quote on the banner reads “Desperation is the raw material of drastic change” and is by the writer William Burroughs which I feel like is a perfect match for the image’s sentiment.
