I created this flyer in 1999 for a DIY (Do It Yourself) Skills-Sharing workshop that brought tree sitters, setters and climbers together from California and Oregon. We met in Humbolt County and taught each other techniques for tree-top forest defense.
In this illustration, the elf is transferring from one tree into another. I took care to accurately detail the use of ropes and gear, drawing on my own passion for doing this exciting line of direct action work.
